We all have a magic inside us, one that is truly ours. This is our superpower, our change-the-world talent.
Many times, we don’t recognize our own magic because we’re too busy trying to imitate the magic that others possess. Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in the other people’s stories that we forget the work it takes to script our own.
I grew up in a town where you had to call someone if you wanted to talk, and if they didn’t have a phone you had to actually utilize some form of locomotion to see them in person. In other words, connecting wasn’t constant or easy, thus we didn’t take it for granted.
When I got older I used my Creation Book to send quick messages to my friends. My mom had her messenger bees. Yet, interacting was reserved for real life.
We weren’t in each other’s business all the time. We had time to focus on our own stuff. Other people didn’t occupy our minutes, nor did they live rent free in our minds. Thus, we didn’t get all confused over whose life we were living.
If you want to discover YOUR magic, you first have to discover YOU. What are YOU all about—what are you good at?
You have to spend time learning. You need to spend time doing. You also need quiet time to ponder so that you can discover how to think for yourself.
You want to be an original not an imitator of someone else’s glory. You want to shine because of your own light. You want to soar because of your own powers. You want to change the world because of what you have to offer.
What’s your magic?
Embrace it. Develop it.
This is your superpower.
The stage is yours.
